Love House N59

Korea, Bundang

2021

The defining feature of the Love House is its central light-well courtyard. Positioned at the heart of the residence and visible through large sliding glass doors from the hallway and living areas, this "pocket garden" transforms the interior.

The interior spaces are characterized by a clean, all-white palette and warm timber flooring, creating a sense of spaciousness that belies the home's small square footage.A dark-stained wooden slatted screen provides privacy and shade for the entryway without feeling closed off.The facade uses a textured beige stucco punctuated by deep-set, wood-framed windows, giving the home a grounded, architectural presence.

The Love House is a proactive response to the needs of an aging population. By eliminating stairs, widening doorways, and placing a garden at the center of daily life, the project ensures that its resident can live with dignity, safety, and a constant connection to the beauty of the outdoors.
