Love House N52

Korea, Bundang

2021

The exterior of the Love House makes a sophisticated statement through contrast. A palette of cream-colored stucco is framed by deep, rich cedar horizontal fencing and architectural accents. The entrance features a striking, oversized gate structure that provides a sense of security and arrival. Small, intentionally designed garden pockets and white gravel paths wrap around the structure, creating a serene transition from the street to the private interior.

Inside, the home embraces the philosophy of "Warm Minimalism." The open-plan living area is defined by its connection to the outdoors, featuring large, floor-to-ceiling glass sliders that dissolve the boundary between the interior and the garden.

Perhaps the most unique feature of the Love House is the master bathroom. Moving away from cold porcelain and tile, the space is clad entirely in warm, aromatic wood. The centerpiece is a custom-built Hinoki-style wooden bathtub, designed to transform the daily routine into a meditative, sensory experience. This "spa-at-home" concept brings the healing power of nature directly into the private quarters.
