Love House N45

Korea, Bundang

2021

The exterior of the Love House makes a striking first impression. Defined by crisp, off-white stucco volumes framed by deep bronze-toned architectural borders, the home is a study in sculptural contrast. To soften the modern edges, horizontal wood slats and a traditional stone retaining wall ground the structure in nature. Seasonal bursts of yellow canola flowers at the entrance provide a cheerful invitation, signaling the warmth that lies within.

Inside, the home moves away from rigid corridors in favor of light-wells and internal courtyards. Large glass spans allow the residents to look through the "soul" of the house—a private internal garden filled with vibrant pink petunias and traditional earthenware—ensuring that nature is a constant companion in every room.

The dining area serves as a central hub, featuring a clean, white palette illuminated by a sculptural, petal-like pendant light. The space is designed to feel airy and expansive, yet remains intimately connected to the kitchen and living quarters.
