Office in Fuzhou
China, Fuzhou
2017
This office complex project represents a bold step forward in metropolitan commercial architecture, defined by a "Stacked Urbanism" concept that breaks away from the traditional monolithic skyscraper. The design utilizes a series of shifted, cantilevered volumes that create a dynamic, sculptural silhouette on the skyline. This intentional displacement of the building mass not only provides a unique visual identity but also breaks down the scale of the high-rise, creating a rhythmic and modern aesthetic that responds to the surrounding urban fabric.
Central to the project's design philosophy is the seamless integration of "Vertical Biophilia." By shifting the modular blocks of the towers, the architecture carves out expansive, elevated terraces that serve as private sky gardens for the occupants. These green "breathing zones" provide employees with a rare connection to nature within a dense city core, promoting wellness and environmental performance. These lush outdoor spaces act as natural extensions of the interior offices, offering panoramic views while helping to regulate the building's temperature and air quality.
